At the function Kazmaier shared the history of the Safari Den business that dates back as far as 1989 when Agra started selling a small range of camping and outdoor equipment together with the guns and ammunition through its branch network. In 1994, the first Safari Den outlet was opened next to the Alfa Supermarket in the old Agra building and had a shop floor area of 150m². With the first upgrade of the Auas Valley Shopping Mall in 2000, the Safari Den shop on the lower floor was opened.

The new Safari Den now offers products and services to everybody who loves the Namibian outdoor. Retail space of 1330m² on the top floor of the Auas Valley Shopping Mall has been added to the existing 440m² of the existing shop. Safari Den forms part of Agra’s Arms, Ammunition and Outdoor division, which was established in April 2013 and includes the Rosenthal Group who became part of the division in August 2013. This new, autonomous division within Agra is headed by Jurgen Cronjé who brought a new focus and drive for the division.
